7 Weeks

One more week and 2 days till our doc appt! Yay!

Feeling: The "morning" sickness has officially set in this week, although its less of a morning sickness and actually lasts most of the day. Its been a bit of a struggle at work, but I've found Sprite and Ginger Ale helps....as well as eating lots of small meals throughout the day. I feel a little more bloated as well. The food aversions and cravings are also a little worse this week, I could not eat the fish Steve made this week...and instead have had cravings for potato pierogies, egg salad, and lasagna! The constipation has been better too...maybe my body is getting used to the prenatals.
Weight: 124 lbs

Fun facts about Week 7: Our baby is making great strides this week, reaching almost half an inch from crown to rump, about the size of a small raspberry! (and about 10,000 times bigger than he was at conception). Most of that growth is concentrated in the head as new brain cells are generated at the rate of 100 per minute. Your baby's mouth and tongue are forming as arm and leg buds sprout, and those little kidneys are getting ready to do their job. The heart and lungs are becoming more developed, as are the eyes and nose, intestines and appendix. By now the brain and spinal cord are growing from the neural tube. Hands and feet are beginning to form, and those adorably tiny fingers and toes are getting ready to make an appearance. On ultrasound testing at this stage we can see a clear picture of the fetus with a fetal heart beat.
My boobs are supposed to have increased by a full cup size by now, but for me, no such luck as of yet!
